The Michigan Clean Energy Venture Challenge will not only give money to students with the best ideas, it will help to foster a community of innovators and entrepreneurs in Michigan.  Once accepted to the program no teams will be eliminated.  All teams will be given a tremendous amount of support and resources, to give them all the best possible chance for success.  It is our goal that even the teams who don’t win the big prizes will have the momentum to continue moving forward with their ideas after the competition is over.  Win or lose, all teams will walk away with the knowledge and experience gained through starting their first venture, without the risks and pitfalls of doing it alone.  In the end, the CEVC will produce a few well-funded new companies and an entire cohort of students who are better prepared to go out and spur real economic growth in the area.
